UNLV Phi Delt hosts annual Shake and Bake

On March 10th, 2016 – the Nevada Beta chapter of Phi Delta Theta hosted the annual “Shake and Bake”, a day dedicated to raising funds through multiple activities in order to gauge awareness for Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Members from Fraternity and Sorority Life gathered throughout the day to participate in relay races, bake sales, ice-bucket challenges and other challenges. Tyana, a sister from Zeta Tau Alpha, went on to become the Shake & Bake Miss Pallas Athena – taking a win for the pageant section of our philanthropy.

Within 5 hours, our chapter was able to fund raise over $3,000 in contribution to the ALS association. The Greek Life commmunity gathered together at UNLV to support this important cause for our philanthropy – in which the women of Delta Zeta were declared the overall winners.

We couldn’t be more thankful for all the work our fellow colleagues have placed into this effort to better the Las Vegas community!

Sisters of Delta Zeta sorority along with their coach, Brother Leo Nunez, the winner’s of the 2016 Shake and Bake event.
